You don?t have to bring your business to a halt just because you want to build a website.

Employing a web designer means you can tap from his experience about going online (sometimes free). You can get helpful tips, advice, and recommendations from the web designer on building your online business strategy. This will ensure your business succeeds online. A web designer will even help you to buy hosting and domain name for your website. Web designers also offer free hosting and domain name as part of their web design packages.

Website templates can be downloaded free on the internet however, a premium website template is better for your business especially if you cannot customise a free website template. Premium website templates look a lot better than their free counterparts and are ready to use out of the box.

You can also run your template on top of a Content Management System like Joomla, WordPress, or Drupal. These CMS software make managing and maintaining your websites a lot easier.

Designing your website yourself will always take your time and will distract you from your core business. In addition, building a website with a template can create problems for you if you decide to change the look of your website in future, especially if you do not have knowledge of technologies like XHTML and especially CSS.

Build your website yourself from scratch

Well if you are technical, love challenges and have lots of time to play around with you can decide to build your business website from scratch. At least you will need knowledge of web design technologies like XHTML and CSS. Other technologies that could come handy include knowledge of server scripting technologies like PHP and ASP as well as database technologies like mySQL and MS Access.

Kim Kardashian may not be Kanye West's Beyoncé, but she does have her sights set on being Glendale, California's next mayor.

In a clip from her sister Khloé's show "Khloé & Lamar," she shared her political aspirations with her baby sister. "I decided ... I'm gonna run for the mayor of Glendale. You have to have full residency in Glendale, so Noelle's going to head my campaign, but it's going to be five years for Glendale. So I have to buy a house there," she said in a clip posted on Aceshowbiz.com. "You have to have residency, so Noelle and I are looking into all the requirements. It's [an] Armenian town. But I need to wait like five years."

While some people are scratching their heads at the thought of her calling the shots for the Cali town, it seems that those who currently live and work there are not against the idea. "I would support her. I think she would make an excellent mayor," city councilman Rafi Manoukian told E! News. And he's not the only one.

City councilman and former mayor Ara Najarian offered to make the reality starlet "honorary chief of staff to my office to help her get acquainted to Glendale," adding that he believes that her dream to run for political office is a "great idea."

Najarian noted that he knows that Kardashian is busy, but she can start small as she readies for her office run. "I know Kim is busy all over the world and all that, but if she's able to come in a few days a week or a few days a month to see how the city works and see all the great things we do," he explained, "if she wants to learn how Glendale runs, this is really the best way to do it."

Her run for office certainly wouldn't be the first time she's attempted to do something outside her comfort zone of posing on step-and-repeats in bandage dresses, selling diet programs and designing clothes. Last year, she tried a short-lived career as a pop star with her track "Jam (Turn It Up)." She even shot a Hype Williams-directed video for it, but, alas, it never saw the light of day.

Amazon Appstore shatters $20 ceiling for in-app purchases

In a move that's likely to grab the attention of more than a few Android developers, Amazon has announced that its arbitrary $20 limit for in-app purchases via the Appstore is no more. The company announced this change in an email to developers, which follows a tweak to the Appstore's parental controls. In-app purchasing is rather new territory for the Amazon crew, which first unveiled the necessary APIs just last week. There's no word on what new monetary limit is now in place, but make sure to watch your spending, kids -- some of these apps are incredibly habit-forming.
