Since 2006, Splashtop has offered a host of remote control solutions. It's most well-known offering, Spashtop Remote Desktop, is a hit in both the Apple Store and Android Market. It gives smartphone users a way to access their computer's content and applications across the cloud.
Now, the company is set to launch Splashtop Pro, which combines the features of Splashtop Remote Desktop into a tablet management system for IT admins in the SMB.
With Splashtop Pro, tablet users can access data and applications such as Word and Excel residing on their company computers. IT has centralized management of tablets deployed in an organization via a web-based administrator console.
IT can deploy and set policies for access as well as manage user permissions for accessing shared resources on the company network. Connection history monitoring provides a way for the IT department to keep track of who is connecting to enabled computers and resources and when they are connecting.
Advanced features include strong security with AES128 encryption, VPN support and update management.
Users can sign up for an invitation to preview Splashtop Pro for a free 30-day trial.
