The Grand X is powered by a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset and runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on 512MB of RAM.
It comes with 4GB of built-in storage with a microSD slot for expandable memory naturally included.
Its 4.3-inch display features a 960 x 540 pixel resolution is almost identical in size to the Motorola?s DROID RAZR, although its form factor is closer to the Nexus S. To highlight its gaming potential, ZTE will ship the Grand X loaded with TegraZone games.
To supplement its 5 megapixel rear camera, ZTE included a front-facing 0.3 camera which - while underpowered - is a nice bonus for the Grand X's pricepoint.
Beats down
The focus of the ZTE Grand X is gaming and multimedia on a budget, and it does not disappoint in the audio department. Featuring cinematic surround-sound Dolby Mobile Sound technology, it?s easy to understand why ZTE chose Professor Green as the ambassador for this new Android phone.
Professor Green was featured in the unboxing video of the ZTE Grand X, and will be featured future promotional materials. Additionally, the British rap star will also be visiting the ZTE Grand Xperience stand in Westfield, Stratford City.
The Grand X will launch for Virgin Media and Phones4U and will start from ?19 per month, or cost??189.99 pre-paid.
