Business travelers flying American Airlines between the U.S. and London Heathrow Airport can enjoy turndown service and Dermalogica? skincare products.

First class business travel just got a little more posh. American Airlines has announced the introduction of a new service and range of products for its first class and business class passengers traveling to and from the United States and London Heathrow: turndown service and luxury amenities previously not offered on any regional or international flights.

"We believe this new suite of premium products is a wise investment because it enables us to provide an added level of comfort and style to the inflight environment ? a sentiment applauded by customers on international test flights earlier this month," said Rob Friedman, vice president of Marketing for American Airlines. "This initiative to further complement our premium customers' travel experience is another example of our commitment to make American the airline of choice for global travelers."

Corporate Travelers Relax with Premium Amenities

Beginning Sept. 1, corporate travelers who are flying to and from the United States and London's Heathrow Airport can relax on board Boeing 777s with a new set of premium amenities. Products, which vary in first and business class cabins, include the following:

  • Quilted bed topper
  • Light weight blanket
  • Premium duvet and pillow
  • Pajamas
  • Slippers
  • Amenity kits that feature an authentic Eames Office? design pattern and include Dermalogica? skincare products, whose formulations exclude common irritants including SD alcohol, lanolin, mineral oil, and artificial colors and fragrances.

International Travel More Luxurious

The new product and service offerings will be available in the first and business class sections of all international flights beginning Oct. 1. Also on this date, American's business class cabins flying internationally and operated by Boeing 777s and 767-300s, in addition to select flights to and from Europe operated by Boeing 757s, will begin offering the new premium duvet and pillow, slippers, and amenity kit.

"American is the first and only U.S. airline to offer pajamas, slippers and a quilted bed topper as part of its turndown service ? a step that better aligns us with our joint business and oneworld? Alliance partners," Friedman said.

American Airlines Offers More than 3,600 Daily Flights

American Airlines, American Eagle and the American Connection? carrier serve 250 cities in 50 countries and average upwards of 3,600 flights per day.
